Keswick Rugby Club has created a group on the photo sharing website Flickr so that our supporters can share them with others.

If you have photographs (or videos) that you'd like to add to our group please visit us on flickr at the group "Keswick Rugby Club" and join up. We look forward to seeing you there.

What is flickr?

Flickr is an online photo sharing and community website. Users from all over the world post photographs of every conceivable subject and style to flickr and they choose whether to share these photos with friends, family or with everyone.

Keswick Rugby Club is encouraging its visitors to upload photographs (and videos).

Anyone can look at photographs on flickr, but in order to upload your own photos to any part of flickr you must create an account. Basic accounts on flickr are free of charge.

How to setup a flickr account?

If you want to join us on flickr you need a Yahoo! ID (because Yahoo! owns flickr) so start by creating a Yahoo! ID here and that will let you create a flickr account.

How to find the Keswick Rugby Club Group?

If you want to find our group you can type in the following web address -  http://www.flickr.com/groups/keswick_rugby or click on it to go there now.

How to join the group?

You can join the Keswick Rugby Club Group in three easy steps:

a) Click on the 'Join this Group?' link on the group's page

b) Confirm that you want to join

c) Once you are a member, you can share your photos by submitting them to our group

How to add your photos to the group?

Once you have a flickr account and have uploaded your photos to it, there are two ways you can add your photos to the "Keswick Rugby Club" group:

Find the first photo that you want to add, on the main page for that photo click the 'Send to Group' icon immediately above the photo and then select "Keswick Rugby Club" from the drop-down list that appears.

If you want to add a lot of your photos to our group at once, select 'Organize' from the top of the flickr page, go to the 'Groups' tab, select all of your relevant photos from the filmstrip at the bottom and drag them into the "Keswick Rugby Club Group Box".

Organisation and Order of Group photographs

As things stand, photographs are shown randomly in the order they are uploaded on to the Group Page, in contrast to personal accounts where Sets and Categories of photographs (eg/ junior rugby, senior matches, events) can be produced.  This may not be ideal but, as far as the writer is aware, cannot be changed without further development of the service by flickr.

A note about tags:

Flickr recommends that you add tags to your photos. Tags are single words or short phrases which describe the content of a photo. They can also be used to include information about where or when a photo was taken.
